Cath Lab Technologist Job in Bloomington, IN

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join our Radiology and Cardiology department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 17, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirement: approximately one evening per week and every 4th weekend with 30-minute response time
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Weekly pay: $3,110.40

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Current ARRT R and BLS (AHA) certifications
• McKesson charting system experience
• Allied Health Professional credential

Role Responsibilities

You will work with adult and geriatric patients in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization settings. Your responsibilities include accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac implant closure device support, cardiac mapping, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations, electrophysiology (EP) lab support, equipment setup, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left and right heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), EKG lead placement, permanent and temporary pacemaker support, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose.

Required Skills and Experience

You must demonstrate proficiency in sterile technique, sterile field maintenance, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, scrub procedures, supply stocking, PACS, Siemens equipment, and prep access site procedures. Floating within IU Health Bloomington Hospital and to affiliate hospitals is required. Experience with systems such as McKesson, PACS, and Siemens is essential for this role.
