CVOR Technologist Travel Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the CVOR unit at Mission Hospital's Heart Tower building in Asheville, NC. This is a 63-day travel assignment running 4x10 day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a weekly pay rate of $2,325. Your start date is October 12, 2026.

Role Requirements

• Current CST certification is mandatory
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments in CVOR
• Extensive experience in the scrub role
• First assist experience and proficiency preferred but not required

Procedures & Case Types

You'll support a wide range of cardiothoracic and vascular procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker/AICD insertions, septal myectomy, Ross procedure, EVH, IABP insertions, femoral cannulation, and circulatory arrest cases. All cases operate with 1 scrub and 1 circulator; pump cases also require a first assist or heart holder (RN or CST).

Work Environment

The CVOR unit has 6 operating rooms equipped with Stryker equipment. You'll document in the Cerner system. On-call shifts will be assigned and rotated among staff. You may be required to float infrequently if needed. The hospital provides scrubs and maintains a surgical attire policy that you must follow.
