PICU RN Job in Wichita, KS

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 3x12 schedule at $1,940 per week.

Unit Overview

The PICU consists of 15 beds with a 2:1 patient ratio. The night shift team includes an Intensivist, RN, and Respiratory Therapist. You will work with general cardiac and respiratory monitoring equipment in a Meditech/CPN EMR environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a pediatric intensive care setting
• Perform IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status using standard equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary night shift team
• Work effectively under pressure in a teaching hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PICU RN experience
• BLS certification
• PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRT experience
• APHON certification
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience

Assignment start date is October 7, 2026. You must be comfortable working nights and thrive in a teaching hospital setting where strong patient care is a priority.
