PICU RN Job in Wichita, KS

You will work as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU with 15 beds. You will maintain a 2:1 patient ratio and perform clinical duties including IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements. You will utilize General CR Monitoring equipment and the Meditech/CPN EMR system to document and manage patient care.

Your Team

You will work alongside Intensivists, RNs, Desk Techs, Respiratory Therapists, Dietary staff, and Case Management professionals on day shift in a teaching hospital environment.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PICU experience
• BLS certification (required)
• PALS certification (required)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a teaching hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRT experience
• APHON certification
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience

Compensation and Duration
