ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36-48 hours can be offered per week
• Minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week time track, up to every other weekend
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5 with approximately 250 visits per day and 123 beds
• Floating required between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on greatest need
• No block scheduling
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, MOAB
• Required skills: IV starts, triage, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, management of violent behavior, psychiatric hold, and care of ventilated patients
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Epic charting system experience required
• Unit systems include Pyxis, Epic, SBAR, and daily shift huddles
• Serves neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• 24-hour unit orientation
• Scrubs: Navy/White
• Contracts of 13 weeks or more required
