RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac experience required, including chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Practice independently in the same or similar clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only)
• RN License in the state of TX or compact license required
