OR RN Manager Job in Scranton, PA

You'll serve as an OR nurse manager at GCMC Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA, leading clinical operations and staff oversight in the operating room. This is a day shift position working 5 days per week, 8 hours per shift, with variable start times based on meeting schedules. You may arrive before 7:00 AM or remain after 4:00 PM for departmental meetings. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room while managing team performance
• Troubleshoot operational issues and support call coverage as needed
• Lead KPI metrics for turnaround times and first-case on-time starts
• Manage new project implementations and ensure sustained compliance
• Oversee staff scheduling using UKG, Kronos, or Workday systems
• Maintain regulatory preparedness for TJC and DOH surveys
• Manage operations in a collective bargaining department
• Apply current AORN Guidelines and evidence-based practice standards

Required qualifications:

• RN credential
• 5+ years of operating room nursing experience
• Operating room leadership and trauma experience
• Strong knowledge of current AORN Guidelines and evidence-based practice

Preferred qualifications:

• CNOR certification
• HRO training

This assignment is 92 days with a start date of August 31, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,301. The position may transition to permanent placement.
