Job Details:

• Neuro Operating Room position - Neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics experience required
• Schedule options: 4 x 10-hour shifts (0700-1730) or 3 x 12-hour shifts (0700-1930)
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• 1-2 call shifts per week (Monday through Thursday); call begins after shift end through 0700 the following morning
• 30-minute callback response time required
• 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks; call starts at end of shift Friday through 0700 Monday
• No scheduled weekend shifts - call only
• Holidays are call only, per department need
• Must be able to function independently in Neurosurgery
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• EPIC experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• Pennsylvania RN license required with no license hits accepted
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Required skills include: craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, cervical fusions, VP/VA shunts, insertion of VP shunt, ALIF, XLIF, kyphoplasty, minimally invasive surgery, patient positioning (lateral, supine, prone), electrosurgical units, malignant hyperthermia protocols, infection control, radiation safety, wound management, and trauma procedures
