Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM with rotating days off
• Weekday and weekend call required
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Weekend coverage required approximately once per quarter
• On-call schedule averages every 7th weekend with no call during the week
• Two specialty call teams cover ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic cases nightly; travelers may cover these cases if within their competency
• Facility operates 19 OR suites handling 55-60 cases per day, approximately 1,000 cases per month
• Full-service facility performing general, orthopedic/neuro, robotic, and trauma cases; no major pediatric cases, transplants, or C-sections in the main OR
• Scrubbing preferred but not required for RNs
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Must have basic competency in almost every service line
• Minimum 2-3 years of OR experience required
• Scrub attire provided
• One week of floor-specific orientation provided
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff required; flexibility is expected
• Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience; if marked a 3, must be proficient
• Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius of the hospital based on address listed on driver's license
• Driver's license must be submitted with application
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
