Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Scrub cardiovascular (CV) cases as a required core responsibility
• Float required to other OR specialties
• On-call requirement of approximately 100 hours per 6 weeks
• 1 on-call weekend per 6-week period (Friday evening through Monday morning)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts
• Core CV skills required: must have 3 out of 4 cardiovascular competencies including heart and lung transplants; endovascular procedures are a plus
• Special procedures include heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO
• Skills in aortic aneurysm repair, heart, and lung procedures required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with Level I Trauma experience
• Travel experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• Indiana license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license must be in hand prior to start
• 40 orientation hours included
• Charge pay offered
