PACU RN Job in Atlanta, GA

Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will provide specialized nursing care to post-operative patients in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment.

Role Details

• Work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
• Care for higher acuity post-operative patients including thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases
• Monitor and manage patient recovery in the immediate post-anesthesia period
• Collaborate with a Charge Nurse and Supervisor to coordinate unit operations
• Participate in holiday call coverage as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
• AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS Certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Willingness to work 1 of 3 minor holidays (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)

Assignment Details

This is a 96-week travel assignment. You will earn $1,876 per week. The PACU operates 24 hours, 7 days a week; your schedule is Monday–Friday days. Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from Atlanta.
