PCU Registered Nurse Job in Baltimore, MD

Join LBH - Sinai Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 98-week travel assignment beginning November 23, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work in a teaching hospital with Level I/II trauma services.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; no on-call
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4, with potential for 1:5 based on acuity
• Floating within scope required based on facility needs
• Weekly pay: $2,230

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for adult patients admitted primarily from the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, and other inpatient units. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, NSTEMI, AFib with RVR, cardiac arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization patients. Your responsibilities include telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, management of cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem/Diltiazem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and insulin), blood product administration, peripheral IV management, phlebotomy, and heparin protocol and PCA management. You will perform timely discharge planning, conduct hourly rounding, and deliver bedside shift reports. You will work alongside PCAs/CNAs and LPNs in a team nursing approach on a fast-paced unit with quick patient turnover.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year PCU/Telemetry experience
• Maryland RN license required upon submittal
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Prophecy Relias Basic EKG assessment required
• Strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
• Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I/II trauma center experience
