CT Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a CT Technologist to join their radiology department on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM—with no on-call requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging across routine and advanced studies, including abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Execute advanced procedures including brain perfusion, vascular CTA, coronary CTA, cardiac imaging, colonography, enterography, myelography, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Provide interventional radiology support for biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures
• Prepare and administer contrast media and establish peripheral IVs
• Apply 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering
• Operate Siemens equipment: Force (Somaris 7), Go.Top (Somaris 10), and Somatom Definition (Somaris 7)
• Work with PACS and Sectra imaging systems
• Follow radiation safety and isolation precautions

Department Details

The department operates 3 CT rooms with a daily census of 130 patients, serving adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. Floating within scope to other buildings is required, as is floating to sister facilities when needed.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina CT license (in hand at start; pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS, ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certifications
• Minimum 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience; 1 year total experience preferred
• Siemens and Epic charting system experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with prior relevant experience
• 40 orientation hours required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Holiday rotation and mandatory staff meetings required
• Radiation badge provided by agency
• Scrub code: Teal top and black bottom

Assignment starts November 16, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,462.40.
