Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Work in an Ambulatory Radiation Oncology Clinic setting
• 8-hour shifts preferred; if 10-hour shifts are required, schedule would be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with Thursday off
• Acute care setting
• Charting performed using EPIC system
• Required certifications: BLS Certification
• Active New York State RN license required
• Oncology experience required
• BSN preferred; specialty certification preferred
• PALS preferred
• Radiation oncology experience preferred
• Brachytherapy experience preferred
• Assess and manage treatment-related side effects for oncology patients undergoing cancer treatment including radiation therapy
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and collaborate with radiation oncologists and interdisciplinary teams
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans and administer treatments and medications
• Maintain accurate documentation and support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
• Serve as patient advocate, educator, and leader within the healthcare team
• No call-off policy with 14 days written cancellation notice required
