Respiratory Therapist Job in Kamuela, HI

Queen's North Hawai'i Community Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Kamuela, HI. This is a rotating shift position offering 36 guaranteed hours per week over a 111-day contract beginning September 28, 2026.

Position Details

• Rotating shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekly pay: $2,516
• Contract duration: 111 days
• Facility: Queen's North Hawai'i Community Hospital

Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years of full-time staff respiratory therapy experience in all phases of respiratory therapy
• Minimum of two (2) years acute care experience including adults, children, and newborns
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• All licenses and certifications must remain valid through the duration of the contract

Additional Information

• Requested Time Off (RTO) during the initial contract is limited to a maximum of 7 days, Wednesday through Wednesday
• May be floated to other areas within skillset based upon operational needs

You will work as part of a skilled clinical team providing respiratory care across all patient populations. Your experience in acute care settings will be essential as you support the hospital's respiratory therapy services and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to deliver patient care.
