Respiratory Therapist Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. This is a 15-week contract position offering three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours at $2,181.24 weekly pay. The role begins October 5, 2026.

Schedule and Location

• Night shifts: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts weekly
• Hilo, Hawaii

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management for patients
• Manage and support ventilators and non-invasive ventilators
• Perform physician consulting and CPR
• Deliver all aspects of respiratory care
• Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Utilize computerized charting and Pyxis medication management
• Operate PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac transport ventilators

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• ACLS certification
• RRT certification preferred
• NRP certification preferred
• No first assignments accepted
