Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends
• 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 16
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Self-scheduling unit
• Floating required to other Cardiac Telemetry units or other units within scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work expectations apply based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th–12th)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Required charting system: Epic; Pyxis and SBAR also used
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Clinical skills include: cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, Doppler, post MI care, heart failure, arrhythmia management, chest pain, peripheral vascular disease, peritoneal dialysis, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management, vasoactive drip management, pacemaker management, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, wound care, tracheostomy care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 24 orientation hours required
