NICU RN Job in Little Rock, AR

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts in the NICU
• Every other weekend required; holidays required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Scheduling managed by manager or scheduler; no self-scheduling
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a Level III-IV NICU required
• Extensive Level 4 NICU experience required and must be clearly noted on submission
• NCC Neonatal ICU RN certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Pyxis medication system used
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3/4 based on acuity
• Ancillary support includes 1-2 PCTs per shift
• Floating required within the ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, and Burn); travelers are first to float
• 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing expected upon start
• ACH Dress Code policy must be followed
• Patient population includes 23-week micro-premies, VLBW, complications of prematurity, general surgeries, chronic lung, bleeds, spina bifida, diaphragmatic hernia, NEC perforation, gastro, cleft lip/palate/mandible, PDA ligations, and body cooling
• Average patient length of stay is 40 days
• Equipment includes GE, Servo, Kangaroo Care, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, HFOV, Jet Vent (occasional), and IMV
• Respiratory therapists manage ventilators; respiratory and anesthesia available for support
• Advanced Practice Providers present on the unit
• Must test negative for nicotine
