ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratios based on acuity with 4 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• 2+ years of emergency room experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with emergency room experience
• SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking available on-site
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, isolation precautions and PPE, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage, and trauma care including neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Block scheduling available with manager approval upon request
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
