Med Surg RN Job in Pueblo, CO

St. Mary-Corwin Hospital is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for a 24-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit in Pueblo, CO. This is a night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts, with a 91-day assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You will earn $2,073.60 per week.

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 with nurse aide support at 1:5 ratio
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday shifts required
• Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks)
• Floating may be required based on department needs, with potential to float within Zone 1 if extreme need arises
• You will be first to float when staffing needs arise

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure
• Titrate drips including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control
• Read own telemetry strips (no monitor techs on unit)
• Operate respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
• Use EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• BLS (AHA) certification
• NIHSS certification and skills
• BSN not required
