Med Surg RN Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for our Medical/Surgical unit. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a full-time basis.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and complex nursing care while practicing independently in a clinical setting
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Float to all Med/Surg departments as needed

Position Details:

• Weekend requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
• On-call not required but may be requested if census rises
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Blocked scheduling is not accommodated

Requirements:

• RN license in state of employment or compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Compensation and Duration:

Weekly pay is $2,344. This is a 91-day assignment beginning July 20, 2026.
