About this role

You will work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at NYU Langone Perlmutter Cancer Center – Staten Island MSP, performing nuclear medicine imaging and supporting oncology patient care in an outpatient setting.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform PET scans as your primary procedure
  • See approximately 12 patients per day
  • Work with GE Omni equipment; experience with GE and Siemens systems is preferred
  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws
  • Start and maintain intravenous lines
  • Follow safe handling, storage, and disposal procedures for radioactive materials
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Treat adult and geriatric patients with oncologic diagnoses

Schedule and Duration

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 37.5 guaranteed hours per week
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • No shift rotation required
  • 8-week assignment length
  • Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract

Required Qualifications

  • Allied Health Professional degree (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
  • Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
  • New York State Department of Health License
  • NMTCB Certification
  • PET imaging experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT (N) and ARRT (PET) certifications
  • PET/CT experience
  • Previous Charge Technologist experience
  • Hospital experience
  • EPIC experience

Compensation

  • Weekly pay: $2,586
  • Start date: September 8, 2026
