Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is an 89-day contract beginning September 14, 2026.

Role Overview

You will perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies with precision and clinical expertise. Your daily responsibilities include conducting SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT imaging; performing SPECT blood flow studies, cardiac amyloidosis studies, and hybrid SPECT resting studies followed by PET sarcoid or viability studies. You will acquire and process diagnostic images, perform daily quality control, and maintain radio pharmacy operations within NYSDOH guidelines. Patient data management in the eRecord CUPID system and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards are essential to this role.

Schedule and Compensation

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST, with some procedures potentially running through 4:30 PM. No on-call or weekend shifts required. Weekly pay is $3,289.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care by explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Partner with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology to implement new technologies and enhance lab protocols
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
• Minimum 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience
• NYS Radiology Technologist License
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification
• ARRT Certification with current CE credits
• BLS Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program preferred
