About this role

Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work a 5x8 day shift schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekly compensation of $2,721.

Role Overview

You will perform nuclear medicine procedures across radiology and cardiology services, working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a 1:1 patient ratio. Floating to sister hospital campuses is required as needed based on census, but only to units where your competencies have already been documented.

Required Qualifications

  • Allied Health Professional credential
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • Current certifications: ARRT N, BLS, CNMT, and NMTCB
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Travel experience preferred

Key Skills & Competencies

You will perform a broad range of procedures including 3 Phase imaging, adult scans, venous blood draws, DTPA aerosol studies, exercise/rest protocols (multiple and single), flow and function studies, gastric emptying scans, HIDA scans, I-123 uptake scans, liver imaging, nuclear cardiology, perfusion studies, pharmacological stress testing, renal perfusion studies, uptake scans, ventilation/perfusion imaging, whole body scans, and Lasix-assisted procedures. You will demonstrate competency with Philips equipment, starting and maintaining IVs, isolation precautions and PPE, and proper storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials.

Work Environment

This community hospital setting provides interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology collaboration, rapid response teams, pharmacy resources, transportation assistance, and unit secretarial support. You will use the Omnicell medication system and EPIC for documentation. Scrub color is hunter green.
