PCU Registered Nurse Job in Nashville, Tennessee

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 29-bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a night shift position: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, for a 91-day assignment beginning September 7, 2026.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care on the cardiac stepdown unit, located in 6 Tower North. Your responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, monitoring heart failure patients, and assisting with post-procedure care for patients recovering from interventions such as stents, pacemakers, mitraclips, micropacemakers, and valve replacements. You may float to other cardiac units and medical-surgical areas as staffing needs require.

Unit Environment

The unit operates with a team-oriented, customer-service focused culture. Patient ratios are 4:1 on the telemetry side and 3:1 on the stepdown side. Staffing structure includes one charge nurse, five nurses on telemetry, and three nurses on stepdown. Every other weekend is required; there are no on-call shifts.

What You Need

• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• EKG training and cardiac experience preferred
• Team-work oriented approach with emphasis on customer service

Facility Details

The unit uses Meditech electronic medical records. Approved scrub colors include Galaxy Blue, Ceil Blue, Black, and Red.

Compensation

You will earn $1,918.44 per week.
