ED Registered Nurse Job in Snellville, GA

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Snellville, Georgia. This is a 98-week travel assignment with a start date of September 8, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts
• Weekly pay: $1,792
• Patient ratio: 1:4 across all shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract

Unit Overview

The Emergency Department is a General ED serving a combined adult and pediatric patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics. The unit operates 46 rooms with an average daily census of 135. You will chart in Epic using Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols. Scrub color is navy blue.

Clinical Requirements

You must have a minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience and previous travel healthcare experience. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Required clinical skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, and triage.

Licensing and Support

You must hold a Georgia or Compact state nursing license. Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

Scheduling and Time Off

Orientation consists of 36 hours with a self-scheduling model. Floating to a sister campus may be required. Holiday expectations: if one or two major holidays fall during your assignment, you work all of them; if three or more major holidays fall during your assignment, you work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

This position requires charting system experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
