Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 30-bed Telemetry Unit caring for cardiac and neurological patients
• Receive patients following heart catheterization, pacemaker placement, ablation, watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion procedures
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC/charge nurse, 8 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 0-1 sitters
• Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC/charge nurse, 8 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 0-1 sitters
• 3rd floor of the main campus building
• Required skills: EKG interpretation, IV start, and chest tube management
• Utilize equipment including telemetry boxes, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, and Alaris IV pumps
• Document using Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH stroke scale
• Floating to PCU and Med/Surg may be required
• 3-4 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No specific scrub color required; no visible piercings permitted
• Ideal candidate is a quick learner with great communication skills and dependability
