CT Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care Garners Ferry is seeking a CT Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, scheduled Friday through Monday, with weekend availability required. There are no on-call responsibilities, though the facility may call off one shift per two weeks.

In this role, you will perform CT and X-ray imaging as a multimodality technologist, supporting both emergency and urgent care operations as needed. You will serve patients across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, performing procedures such as:

• Abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sinuses, and soft tissue neck imaging
• Musculoskeletal trauma imaging
• Vascular chest imaging, including pulmonary embolism, CTA, and aorta studies

You will utilize advanced imaging techniques including 3D rendering with maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering. You will also perform multiplanar reconstruction and region of interest measurements.

Additional responsibilities include preparing and administering contrast media, performing venipuncture, and placing peripheral IVs. You must adhere to all radiation safety protocols and will be required to wear a radiation badge, provided by the agency.

Requirements: You must hold current BLS and ARRT certifications in both CT and Radiography (R), as well as SCRQSA (CT) (R). A minimum of one year of experience is required, though first-time travelers are accepted. Experience with Epic charting is preferred. You will be required to wear black and teal scrubs.

Weekly pay is $2,310. The assignment begins September 28, 2026.
