Telemetry RN Job in Reno, NV

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day telemetry assignment beginning November 15, 2026. You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week and no on-call requirements.

What you'll do:

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit with typical ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity and workload
• Manage patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, post-procedure patients including pacemakers and ablations, cath lab post-procedure patients, and ICU step-down patients
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• Float to intensive care units for telemetry and medical-appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and other facility areas as needed
• Work major holidays and pick up one additional shift per scheduling period (every 4 weeks)

Qualifications:

• Current Nevada RN license required before start date
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (APEX) certifications required
• Prior completion of one 13-week travel assignment required
• Experience with pre-/post-cath care, CHF, AKI, COPD, CVA, and ETOH preferred

Compensation:

Weekly pay: $2,481. Schedule includes weekends, holidays, and potential call shifts.
