Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience required
• Pulmonary patient care experience required
• Experience caring for Pulmonary/Ventilated patients on BiPAP and trach care highly preferred
• Level III trauma experience required; Level II trauma experience preferred; Level I trauma experience highly preferred
• First time travelers accepted if 2+ year Medical Surgical experience requirement is met
• Charge experience is a nice to have
• Care for Pulmonary/Med Surg patient population
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• 23-bed unit
• Administer Heparin drips
• Float across all campuses as required
• Work every other or every third weekend depending on staffing and census
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Billable overtime applies between 36-40 hours per week
• EMR system: Epic
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical discipline required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required
