Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float across multiple campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran
• Work on a 25-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Care for general and abdominal patient types
• Administer heparin drips and titrations
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue solid tops and bottoms
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Patient care experience in abdominal cases required
• Heparin experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel contract within the past 24 months
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC)
