PCU RN Job in Louisville, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Progressive Care Unit in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a 3x12 night shift position with a contract duration of 89 days, starting June 29, 2026. Weekly compensation is $2,248.15.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement patient-centered nursing care that prioritizes healing and recovery
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments within RN scope of practice and hospital policies
• Collect and analyze objective and subjective patient data to identify risk factors and presenting complaints
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when planning individualized care
• Develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the inter-professional care team
• Design and implement culturally appropriate interventions and therapeutic procedures with clinical autonomy
• Explain all procedures, treatments, and processes clearly to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate any changes in patient condition promptly
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team member performance
• Monitor accuracy and quality of delegated patient care activities
• Provide patient education based on identified needs and comprehension level
• Facilitate the discharge process and coordinate with Case Management
• Participate in unit-based activities that support organizational values
• Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives and core measure compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital policy and established standards
