PCU RN Job in Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. This is a 12-hour night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) working three shifts per week, with weekend and holiday rotation required. The assignment runs for 89 weeks, beginning September 28, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,206.

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive patient-centered nursing care, performing and documenting thorough assessments within your RN scope of practice. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess patients while considering their cultural background, age, and developmental stage
• Identify risk factors and collect both objective and subjective patient data
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists in collaboration with the interprofessional team
• Establish desired outcomes in partnership with patients and families, aligned with the medical plan of care
• Implement therapeutic interventions and procedures with appropriate clinical autonomy
• Communicate procedures and treatments clearly to patients and families
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, documenting findings appropriately
• Delegate tasks and supervise team members in the delivery of patient care activities
• Address patient educational needs related to prioritized health concerns
• Facilitate timely discharge by executing discharge orders and coordinating with Case Management
• Contribute to unit-based quality initiatives, including monitoring of patient satisfaction, falls prevention, pressure ulcer management, and CAUTI reduction
