PCU RN Job in Elizabethtown, KY

You will work as a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This is a 12-week travel assignment beginning December 14, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Weekly pay: $2,477.52

Your Role

You will deliver direct patient care grounded in comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment planning. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform and document thorough patient assessments within your scope of practice
• Collect and verify objective and subjective admission data
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental stage when planning interventions
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
• Develop and prioritize problem lists collaboratively with the interprofessional team
• Establish desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the medical plan of care
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes clearly to patients and families
• Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Conduct ongoing assessments and document responses to therapies and procedures
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team member performance
• Monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by delegated staff
• Address patient educational needs related to prioritized health problems
• Facilitate timely discharge planning and coordinate with Case Management

Unit Focus

You will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives addressing patient satisfaction, falls prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction. You will foster a positive, healing environment through professional communication and collaborative practice centered on the patient as a whole person.
