Med Surg RN Job in Elizabethtown, KY

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking an RN for Med Surg. You will work 8-hour shifts for 89 days, starting October 5, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,545.60.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care grounded in evidence-based practice and professional nursing standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process
• Collect and document objective and subjective data, considering each patient's age, culture, and developmental level
• Implement nursing interventions and therapies within your scope of practice, explaining procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Monitor patient responses to care and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Delegate appropriate tasks to team members and oversee the accuracy and completeness of delegated work
• Identify and address patient educational needs related to their medical plan of care
• Facilitate timely discharge by coordinating with Case Management and executing discharge orders
• Participate in quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer reduction, CAUTI prevention, and documentation auditing
• Support a positive healing environment through collaborative communication and professional practice

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing input on patient and nurse assignments based on available staffing, unit activity, and patient acuity. Your practice will be centered on the patient as a whole person, following hospital policies, regulatory standards, and current professional guidelines.
