Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Variable night schedule with 36 hours per week
• 2 weekend shifts required every 2-week period
• No holiday shifts required
• On-call responsibilities include low census on-call when patient census dips
• No guaranteed hours; overtime applicable after 40 hours per week
• Care for high-acuity patients with an average assignment of 4-5 patients and a maximum of 6 patients
• Must have relevant experience in telemetry, cardiac drips, and respiratory support including heated high-flow
• Must have experience in post-op care of general surgery, orthopedic, and urology patients
• Must be able to titrate Cardizem drip
• Must be able to quickly stabilize acutely sick patients according to ACLS guidelines and prepare for transfer to higher level of care
• Work in tandem with a team of CNAs, RNs, and critical care-trained house supervisors in a 12-bed Med Surg unit
• Float to high-acuity units as needed
• Michigan RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Scrubs, no specific color required
