CVOR RN Job in Florence, SC

McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Cardiac and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit in Florence, SC. This is a full-time travel assignment running 181 days, starting October 25, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work weekday hours with weekend call responsibilities as part of the surgical team. The CVOR unit averages 6 cases per day, and you will perform in open heart surgery and vascular procedures. Your role blends clinical assessment, team coordination, and efficient OR management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities; execute immediate directives during urgent or emergent situations
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and professional standards
• Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification in accordance with service excellence standards
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patient and staff within or outside the sterile field
• Prep the operating room for patient and procedure
• Position and prepare patient on the operating table
• Serve as communication liaison between family and operating team members
• Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer programs used to deliver patient care
• Participate in assigned call as scheduled

Compensation and Schedule

You will work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts at $3,092 weekly pay.

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license and be willing to work as part of a surgical team in a fast-paced OR environment.
