Pharmacist Job in Tucson, AZ

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Pharmacist for overnight staff support. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 7 nights on / 7 nights off schedule, working 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Wednesday through Tuesday. You will earn $3,358 weekly.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages
• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing strategies
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications and their effects
• Support Medication Safety initiatives and maintain comprehensive patient profiles
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions to appropriate departments
• Mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements using sterile technique
• Maintain narcotic accountability and comply with all DEA regulations
• Work independently in a 44-bed inpatient unit plus ED environment
• Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation and clinical decision support
• Practice in accordance with all state and federal laws, TJC Standards, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications:

• Arizona Pharmacist License
• 2 years of recent hospital pharmacist staffing experience
• Inpatient acute hospital experience required
• Sterile compounding experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Board Certification and/or accredited pharmacy residency preferred but not required

This position offers no on-call responsibilities, no 48-hour guarantee option, and no blocked scheduling option. You will work independently and contribute to a collaborative clinical environment.
