PCU Registered Nurse Job in Greensboro, NC

Cone Health - The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Greensboro, NC. This is a 112-week travel assignment starting November 9, 2026, offering $2,119 weekly pay.

Shift Details

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience managing patient ratios of 1:5 in progressive care settings
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation
• Peripheral line care, PICC line management, and IV drip titration
• EPIC EMR experience
• Must pass compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous charge experience preferred

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities

You will care for adult patients in a 34-bed general medical progressive care unit with all telemetry-monitored beds. Primary diagnoses include stroke backup, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders. Your skills will encompass BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, CVA care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac management, and PCA management.

Support and Flexibility

Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Floating to other Cone Health campuses is required as needed.
