Med Surg RN Job in Austin, TX

North Austin Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract assignment on the 3 North Med Surg unit. You will work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule with no on-call requirements.

Role Details

• 32-bed Med Surg unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on night shift
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, and PCTs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitoring
• Document in Meditech EMR system
• Use equipment including bladder scanner, vital sign machines, telemetry, and lifts
• Support the clinical team in delivering quality care

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification required
• Hospital nursing experience required
• 3 or more years of nursing experience preferred
• Telemetry experience required

• Contract duration: 91 days (13 weeks)
• Start date: October 12, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,532
• Navy blue scrubs with St. David's logo required
