Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend required
• 48 guaranteed hours available for travel
• Patient ratio of 1:6 in a 33-bed Medical Oncology unit
• Unit secretary available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM with 3 CNAs for 33 patients
• Charge RN present each shift along with Clinical Manager and Director
• Conduct hourly rounds on day shift and 2-hour rounds after 9:00 PM
• Document using Meditech system
• Work with electronic white boards, iPhones with iMobile, and remote telemetry equipment
• Travelers are first to float per unit floating policy
• Required certification: BLS
• Preferred certifications: Med Surg, Palliative Care, ONS specialty certification
• Required dress code: Pewter colored scrubs and white in any combination
• Must have the right attitude to put patients first
• Inpatient chemotherapy administered by core nursing staff with ONS chemo training
