PCU Registered Nurse Job in Omaha, NE

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 3, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,384.64.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement

Unit Overview

The 35-bed PCU serves adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, nephrology, strokes, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring. You will maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 with nurse aides and patient care technicians at 1:10 or 2:20. Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab may be required.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced environment
• Utilize the EPIC charting system
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and support staff

Orientation and Requirements

• First week of onboarding followed by 1–2 days of unit-specific orientation on the floor
• Pass/fail open book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
