Med Surg RN Job in Fort Morgan, CO

St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan, CO is seeking a registered nurse for a night shift position in a 14-bed acute care medical-surgical unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,073.60 for three 12-hour shifts per week.

Unit Details & Expectations

• 14-bed Med Surg unit with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule with self-scheduling and block scheduling options
• Minimum six weekend shifts per six-week schedule required
• Holiday shifts required
• First to float with requirements determined by the Nurse Manager
• Call or standby duties as assigned by Nurse Manager
• Nurse aide support available once the floor reaches 9 patients (1 aide per floor)
• Charge nurse takes a patient assignment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Read telemetry strips independently and escalate concerning findings to physicians (no tele/monitor techs on unit)
• Titrate drips including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives
• Operate respiratory equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and ventilators
• Manage common diagnoses including CHF, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure

Requirements & Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Valid driver's license; must be located within 60 miles of facility
• Experience in rural healthcare settings with lower resources preferred
• Comfortable with EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Must be available in-state for full week of orientation
• Navy blue scrubs required
