Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12 shifts on day rotation with every other weekend coverage required.

About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patient populations in a critical care setting. Your responsibilities include mechanical ventilation management, BiPAP/CPAP therapy, high-flow nasal cannula administration, aerosol treatments, arterial blood gas interpretation, tracheostomy care, bronchoscopy support, and a range of respiratory therapies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana state license (must have license in hand or proof of submitted application)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty
• Experienced RTs only—new graduates will not be accepted
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
• Must be located more than 65 miles from the facility address
• Epic experience preferred
