Med Surg RN Job in Lewisville, TX

You'll work as an RN in the Ortho Trauma Unit at Medical City Lewisville, a 32-bed unit on the 4th floor of A Tower. This is a night shift position running 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week for a 91-day contract starting October 26, 2026.

About the Role

• Patient ratio of 1:6 in a staffed environment that includes 1 charge nurse, 4–5 nurses (RN/LVN mix), and 2–3 PCTs per night shift
• Perform patient ambulation, wound care, and routine clinical procedures
• Work with Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Manage admissions and discharges with dedicated team support
• No on-call requirement

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Charge experience and preceptor experience preferred

You may be asked to float to the sister department, Surgical Telemetry Unit, or Inpatient Rehab as needed. The unit values team collaboration and a positive, flexible approach to patient care.
