Physical Therapist Job in Augusta, GA

You will provide physical therapy services in a home health setting serving adult and geriatric patients. This position is based at Piedmont Augusta Home Health and Hospice and focuses on conditions including geriatrics, strokes, and orthopedics.

Role Details

• Conduct approximately 7 patient visits per day with full-time productivity around 25 units
• Work with patients across the lifespan from adults to geriatrics
• Provide skilled therapy in areas such as gait training, adaptive and assistive device training, post-stroke rehabilitation, and orthopedic conditions including total hip and knee replacement
• Perform vital sign monitoring and OASIS documentation as required
• Float within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience; first-time travelers are accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Georgia PT License or Compact PT License
• Experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB) charting system strongly preferred; if you lack this experience, you must complete an online HCHB course before your start date. The facility is transitioning to Epic around September 2026

Schedule and Compensation

• 5 days per week, 8-hour days
• No weekend shifts required
• Weekly pay: $2,673
• Assignment duration: 112 days, starting October 19, 2026
• Mileage reimbursement paid at IRS standard rate, tracked through HCHB and later Epic

Policies

• Scrubs: Any color acceptable
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all time off must be finalized at the time of submission
• Holiday coverage expected based on the number of major holidays during your assignment: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• No schedule requests can be made after the offer is finalized or once you are on-site
