Physical Therapist Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health position serving adult to geriatric patients across 4 counties in the Augusta area. This is an 84-day travel assignment starting November 9, 2026.

Role and Schedule

• 5x8 Days schedule with no weekend shifts required
• Weekly pay: $2,664
• Travel required within service area; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Holiday coverage required based on major holidays falling within your assignment period

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services including gait training, orthopedic interventions, and post-stroke rehabilitation
• Develop and instruct home exercise programs for patients and families
• Complete OASIS documentation and charting in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) or Epic
• Provide patient and family education
• Float within facility and scope of practice as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted; screening at 6 months)
• Valid Georgia PT license or Compact PT license
• BLS certification required
• HCHB experience highly preferred; if you lack prior HCHB experience, you must complete an online HCHB course before starting
• Charting system transitioning to Epic around September 2026

Assignment Terms

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Any scrub color permitted
