ED RN Job in Iola, Kansas

BJC West – Allen County Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week on a self-scheduling model, with a patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts.

Role Overview

The emergency department serves infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics across 7 rooms/beds, with approximately 20 patient visits per day. You will provide combined adult and pediatric emergency care, including triage, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, IV vasopressor administration, CPAP/BiPAP support, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols. You may float to Anderson County Hospital as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience
• Trauma Level IV experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Kansas and Missouri licensure or compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• First-time travelers accepted

Shift & Scheduling

Nights, 12-hour shifts with no on-call requirement. Weekend coverage required at least every other weekend. Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract. You must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.

Support & Benefits

Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams. Navy scrubs required.

Assignment Details

91-day contract beginning October 5, 2026. Weekly pay: $1,990.
