ED RN Job in Farmington, CT

UConn John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, CT is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,927.

Schedule and Expectations

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend rotation (Friday/Saturday)
• Call and holiday rotation required; you will work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of prior travel experience in the Emergency Department (non-negotiable)
• Required certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC

Role Details

You will provide direct patient care in the ED setting. You may float to the Psych Hold area as needed, but will not float to other hospital units. This position does not require floating outside the Emergency Department except to the designated Psych Hold area.
