ED RN Job in Hartford, CT

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend rotation required. This 91-day travel position offers 36 guaranteed hours weekly at $2,496.78 per week.

In this role, you will:

• Provide direct emergency nursing care to patients presenting to the ED
• Manage inpatient hold patients when acute care beds are not immediately available
• Assess and respond to varying patient acuity levels throughout your shift
• Adapt staffing ratios as census and acuity demands shift
• Function in a fast-paced emergency department environment

You'll handle both the unpredictability of emergency arrivals and the coordination required for inpatient holds, requiring flexibility and strong clinical judgment. The night shift schedule and every-other-weekend rotation are core to this assignment.
